OHNE TITEL was a women’s wear label designed by Alexa Adams and Flora Gill in 2006. They met in 1999 at Parson’s School of Design and after graduating, designed for established labels like Helmut Lang and Karl Lagerfeld. Flora Gill’s strong background in knitwear led to the creation of innovative textiles and shapes melding hand techniques with new technologies. In 2009 OHNE TITEL received the Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation Award, was a finalist in the 2009 and 2011 CFDA /Vogue Fashion Fund Awards and was nominated for the 2009 Swiss Textiles Award. Alexa and Flora are both CFDA members. Their designs were sold in stores like Bergdorf Goodman, Ikram and Saks Fifth Avenue. OHNE TITEL closed in April 2016. Currently, Gill and Adams are focusing on other design opportunities while collaborating on zines and other projects. (OHNE TITEL wishes to acknowledge Microsoft and Shapeways, financial and printing sponsors of this project. Design by Flora Gill and Alexa Adams; Programming by Chester Dols.) Lynne MacLachlan's work plays with light, space and colour; vibrant geometric forms reveal ephemeral, shimmering optical patterns, crossing the boundaries of design, art and fashion. After a degree in aerospace engineering Lynne completed her Masters degree at the Royal College of Art in Jewellery and Metalwork. Her award winning work has been recognised by bodies such as Goldsmiths Craft and Design Council, the Scottish International Education Trust, the Dewar Arts Awards and most recently the Inches Carr trust. She has exhibited widely in the UK and Europe, including by the UK Crafts Council, the Victoria & Albert Museum Dundee, the Nation Centre for Craft and Design and London Design Festival. Lynne is currently undertaking a PhD with the Design Transformations group of the Open University, researching the role of tools in creative designer-maker practice and has been a visiting lecturer at University for the Creative Arts.
