Autopsy and Reconstruction November 02 – November 24, 2018 Opening: Friday November 02, 7 to 10pm Hours: Saturdays only 1-4pm or by appointment (Except Saturday Nov. 3) Autopsy and Reconstruction features paintings by Vancouver artist Andrew Dadson and Brooklyn artist Mike Rader. Each uses a different strategy to transform the canvas and the paint into another version of itself – new and unexpected.

Andrew Dadson (b. 1980) graduated from Emily Carr University of Art + Design in 2003 and currently lives and works in Vancouver. Dadson has exhibited widely in solo and group exhibitions most recently at the Contemporary Art Gallery, Vancouver (2017), Polygon Gallery, Vancouver (2017), Galleria Franco Noero, Turin (2017) and as part of Art Parcours, Basel (2016). He was the 2011 recipient of The Brink Award held at the Henry Art Gallery, Seattle. Dadson is represented by Galleria Franco Noero, Turin. Mike Rader received his MFA from Bowling Green University, Ohio. He is a mixed media artist in film, animation, painting, sculpture, and printmaking. His works have won the Vanguard Award for Best Experimental Film (Art of Brooklyn Film Festival), Best Art Direction (Manhattan Film Festival) and the Merit Award (Lucerne Film Festival). His most recent short film Fountain was filmed on location at Yale University where he was a visiting artist. Rader’s works have been shown in museums and galleries internationally including The Carnegie Museum of Art, the Andy Warhol Museum and The Toledo Museum of Art.
